This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Boundary Waters Park, Douglasville, GA (Douglas County)

I have never been there before so therefore Exploratory hike.  But I have read up on it and it sounds beautiful.  Along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.  Pace will be at just under 3 mph and we will take a couple of water breaks.  Hike should be just around seven miles (maybe little under or over) and time should be about 2 1/2 hours (again maybe slightly under or over).  We will be hiking on the red and yellow trails.  Some of the trails are also used by mountain bikes and horses - we may have to dodge some horse poop.  May want to bring change of shoes and plastic bag to put dirty shoes in.

Meet in the parking lot of the Aquatic Center - It is a huge lot so look for my car, White Toyota Hatchback.  We will meet and start hike promptly at 10:00.  per my research restrooms are only available after 1:00 p.m. Parking is free.
