Itinerary:

Trena can't make her regular Monday Morning Beginners Welcome hikes for a while, so I've promised to do my best to keep things going until she can return.  This will be Trena's customary pace for the event -- just steady and moderate, with breaks as needed.   This is NOT a fitness hike!  Beginners are welcome!

We'll start at the Visitor Center parking lot! This lot is NOT the first lot on the left, nor is it the middle lot you pass with the pond on the other side.  It's the lot almost a mile down the road that dead ends at the large Visitor Center!

We'll start the hike promptly at 10:00 am.  Arrive at least 5 minutes early to meet everyone before we start,  and/or to purchase a $3 parking ticket if you don't own an annual pass. If you think you might need to use the restroom before we start, give yourself an extra 10 minutes so we can start on time.

No more than 3 dogs on the hike, so if 3 dogs are already listed, please do not add yours. If you bring your dog, it must be kept on leash at all times.  The reputation of the AOC is damaged when we break the leash law!

Required Items to Bring:

Hiking Shoes, Water
$3.00 cash or your annual pass

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Poles if you like to use them.  Some of the terrain has rocks and roots.
