The BRAG Ride Experience

Thanks to our friends at  "BRAG", Bicycle Ride Across Georgia, for inviting the AOC to participate in their big annual Spring Tune Up Ride in Rutledge, GA!

This event is for Saturday, a day ride only. We will be doing 42 miles as a group.  Please do not sign up for this event IF you are camping for the weekend.  There is an event posted for that.

Saturday is the best and busiest for a true BRAG experience. While this AOC event is posted for the 42 mile option, you are welcome to do the longer ride options if you wish. The fee includes full support for the entire ride, showers, snacks and drinks at the rest stops.   We will meet at 7:00 am at  the BRAG Headquarters at the Sun Flower Farm in Rutledge, GA to start our ride.  There is a mass start at 7:30 am and we will ride out as a group to start.  All levels of experience are welcome, as well as all types of bikes but we would strongly recommend a road bike or hybrid.  It's not a race so you can ride at your own pace, you will not be expected to stay together as an AOC group, there will be lots of other riders and you may find others that are your pace you'd prefer to ride with.  We will all meet up for an optional lunch after. BRAG will have food trucks on site.

Maps are included but the route is clearly marked.  There is food, drink and porta potties located at the rest stops along the way every 10 to 15 miles.

NOTE: For safety, a helmet  is required to be worn during this event.  No helmet, no bike ride

You must sign up on the BRAG site and pay for the ride:

BRAG’s AOC Special

BRAG is offering AOC members 20% off the registration fee but you must sign up on the BRAG website.  This discount does not include on site registration.  When you sign up for this even on the AOC site, I will email you the discount code to use when registering on the BRAG site.
