Itinerary:

Please join me for a hike from Dockery Lake to Preacher's Rock and back.

This is an in and out hike with a total distance of approximately 10 miles.  Preacher's Rock will be where we will take a 20 minute break for a quick lunch/snack, enjoy the view, take some photos and then return to Dockery Lake.

Dockery Lake is just off of Route 60 north of Dahlonega, GA.  The trail out of Dockery Lake is about 3 1/2 miles and then it meets up with the Appalachian Trail which we will take towards Preacher's Rock.

I have done portions of this hike but not all of it therefore I have posted as exploratory.  There is some elevation on this hike (about 1500 feet) but I take the hills nice and easy.  Total distance of about 10 miles should be right around four hours including our lunch break.  Please plan for mileage and time to be slightly under or over.
