Moderate to strenuous (8 mile hike, hilly, sometimes rough)

There are many outstanding places to visit on the Bartram Trail. It covers 117 miles in NC and GA alone! The Bartrum Trail in Clayton, GA is a 38 mile long trail of which we are only doing a small section (8 miles starting on War Womens Road at Clayton), which is somewhat hilly and sometimes rough. It does have a beautiful 270-degree view at the end, on the top of the mountain. There are couple small water crossing, and a waterfall. The trail has a strenuous beginning, moderate middle, and a very strenuous ending. We should be back by 6 PM.

good hiking shoes (there are water crossings)
2 liters of water
trail food

clothing appropriate for the colder weather (dress in layers).

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Clayton,GA 85 N. To Indian Trail Exit, Left on Indian Trail, Park and Ride on your right Meet at the carpool. Directions to the trail head will be provided at the carpool.
