I hope that you will also sign-up for the Kennesaw Mountain Trail Work Day event prior to this to help maintain the Kennesaw Mountain trails. See the event starting 7/8 Saturday 8:30 am.

See the event for details. Let's show some love for our trails!!!
Please join me at the Central Section of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park for a Saturday afternoon hike on some of the less travelled trails. We will be hiking at a moderate 3.0 pace. There is some elevation but none of the hills are steep or too long.

PLEASE arrive by 1:45 pm to get a parking space, socialize & have introductions. I will also share some of the history of the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. Out of respect for the majority of people who arrive on time, we will leave PROMPTLY at 2:00 pm.

This KM Central Section has a loop made up of several trails. The Hardage Mill Trail heading south from Burnt Hickory Road is a rolling hills trail through the woods across Noses Creek and then up to Whitlock Avenue. The Noses Creek Trail heading north from Whitlock Avenue back up towards Burnt Hickory Road is less hilly but a nice hike in the woods. We will cut off of the Noses Creek Trail to circle around to the Burnt Hickory Road parking lot via the New Salem Church, Camp Brumby, Pigeon Hill Cut-Off & Pigeon Hill Trails.

Meet at the Burnt Hickory parking lot trailhead.     No BATHROOMS at this location.

Optional early dinner at the West Cobb Diner (see Notes below). The West Cobb Diner is a casual cafe dishing up classic Southern favorites & sandwiches in a low-key, relaxed atmosphere.

Come join me for an invigorating Saturday afternoon hike with an optional early dinner West Cobb Diner afterwards. (See Notes for details)
