Itinerary:

A new, extended route on the GA triple crown version... this is a little more than the usual Coosa/Slaughter/Blood combination! We'll start at Bryon Reece Parking, hiking up the AT to the summit of Blood Mtn. After a long and steep descent to Vogel State Park, we then hop on the Coosa Backcountry Loop. Along the way we'll summit Coosa Bald (4280') and then Slaughter Mountain (4338'). After returning to the summit of Blood Mountain (4458'), we will return to the cars.

A solid 19+ miles with over 5500 ft elevation gain!

This is NOT a beginners hike, so please do not sign up unless you are in excellent physical condition. If you haven't done a D6 hike with me before, this will not be for you. I reserve the right to remove folks from the sign up list that have not hiked with me before.
