This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Best mountain views that I have found without going up to North GA - we will take a 15 minute break at the summit and enjoy that view.

Our hike will begin at the Cooper's Furnace trailhead, travel the Laurel Ridge trail and then travel the east loop to the summit.  After our 15 min. break we will complete the west loop, and then finish up the east loop and back to Cooper's Furnace.  The trails are a bit challenging but this is going to be a slow and steady hike - if you are looking for a FAST hike this is not the hike for you.  I have allowed four hours, I would love to come in a bit earlier but please plan for a bit over/under on time.  It is a moaintain, some parts of the trails are pretty steep.  If you have any qualms about your ability please contact me and we can discuss.   Mileage will be between 8 and 9 miles.

There is a restroom at the Cooper's Furnace parking area but not sure if it is always unlocked. Please plan accordingly.

I have hiked some of the trails at Pine Mountain but I have never led a hike here therefore I have designated as exploratory. I have a great detailed map and should have no problem finding the summit and then finding our vehilces at the end of the hike.
