Itinerary:

Please join me for a figure eight hike around Sawnee Mountain Preserve along the Ridgeline, Mountainside, and Hilltop Trails.  We will meet adjacent to the restroom building at the beginning of the Ridgeline trail in the 2505 Bettis-Tribble Gap Road parking lot.  Please note that this is not the parking lot at the Visitors Center or the Indian Seats parking lot.  Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to find a parking spot, make a comfort stop, and for introductions.  We will begin promptly at 9:00.  We will proceed up the Ridgeline trail then make a counterclockwise loop of the Mountainside trail and finish with the Hilltop Trail.  We will pause at the trail intersections for hydration stops and as necessary to allow the group to consolidate if we get too spread out along the way.  The pace will be moderate to fast, not a walk but not a fitness hike.  We will average 2.5 mph overall with a moving average pace of 3.0 mph.  The trail will vary from gravel path to a well-worn forest path.

Due to the anticipated heat, you must have water with you.
