Itinerary:

Panther Creek Falls is rated as one of Georgia's highest rated hike and falls. It is fairly popular but definitely worth doing.

Departing from Indian Trail Park and Ride at 7:30am, we will reach Panther Creek Trail head at 8:45am (early enough to beat most folks). Parking fee is a $4 dollars as far as I know.

We will slowly descend along the creek 3.5 miles to the falls. If the water is running high there could be some short water crossings. The last quarter mile can be scary for some folks. It is rocky, slippery and narrow. There are some steel ropes to assist. Our pace is going to be moderate. 2.5mph moving average or so.

If the weather is warm enough, swimming is possible. Otherwise we will hang out for a bit, enjoying nature, eating a snack or two.

We'll return to the trail head, retracing our steps. The return is mostly up hill but under 1000 feet of gain.
