Itinerary:

Hello AOC trail runners, we feel like we need to keep the momentum and kick it up a notch for 2018. So according to Candy, it makes sense to plan for the next best trail running route. We will start at Woody Gap and embark on the route to Neels Gap known as " Preaching Rock". We will make time for a quick snack then go back to complete a total of 21.8 miles and 5,700 feet elevation gain. We will summit Blood Mountain, the highest peak on the GA section of the AT (4450') around 8.5 miles and again at 12.5 miles with the 2nd summit being a bit more difficult as we climb over large boulders and rocks with an elevation gain close to 1300' over 2 miles. The summit of Blood can be blistering chilly and windy.
