Itinerary:

Please join us on a fun hike traversing the Gahuti Back Country trail. This trail has been high on my list for a long time and it’s about time I ventured out here to see what all of the fuss is about!! :)

This trail travels around the crest of Fort Mountain, the highest point of the mountain there is an 855-foot rock wall.  We will be afforded views of the Cohuttas and also the surrounding area including Chatsworth and hopefully if it’s a clear day Chestnut Knob.

We will visit the waterfall at Goldmine Branch Creek and also take the Stone Tower Tail to check out the tower and views.

This is a solid D4 hike, please make sure you are fit enough and have the ability to complete this hike. I plan to hike at a moderate pace and stop frequently to take in the sights.
