This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

We start at Jack's Gap on Hwy 180 and take the Jack's Gap trail. The hike will have a steady climb passing Henry Knob and Eagle Knob. At mile 2.5 our hike will intersect with the Appalachian trail at The Chattahoochee gap. There we will take a short side trail to the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River where it begins. After the adventure we head south on the Appalachian trail for around 4 miles to Poplar Stomp Gap where we will have lunch. Later we will retrace our hike and return to our cars. Mountain travel is approximately 2600ft. If you have not recently completed a few high d4s and low d5s with the A.O.C., the Trip Leader will likely contact you! I would like to thank Dorothea for Creating this hike in the past time.
