Itinerary:

Please join me for adventure hike on Sunday, possibility of rain, climbing over, under and around fallen trees should make this hike exciting.

We will leave the carpool at Windward parl and ride promptly at 9 AM. We should arrive at the trail head at Woody Gap by 10:15 and be underway by 10:25. We will start our hike at woody gap and about a mile on AT we take our first water break at Preaching Rock, this has a great vista for pictures. We then continue our hike north for a distance of  slightly over 2 miles to Miller Gap where we take Dockery Lake Trail. Dockery lake trail  is one of the prettiest approach trails to the AT. ( Pleae note, dockery lake trail may have lots fallen trees blocking the trail, so be prepaired to climb over, go under or around the trees for this section of the hike) After 3.7 miles hike, we will reach Dockery lake' we have our lunch here. We then retrace our path back to the cars. We will go at a moderate pace (2 - 2.5) so that we can enjoy the beauty of the hike.
