Itinerary:

Calling all road bikers!  Time to "Get out of Dodge" and hit the open road!

We'll meet at 8:00am at Sosebee Cycling Park, which includes a restroom, changing room, a shaded picnic area and plentify parking for cyclists.  We'll then ride a 45-mile route on the gently rolling and light traffic roads N of Cartersville. part of the BBC route (Beatiful Backroads Century), held in the fall.

The park is located down the road from the Budweiser Plant in Cartersville.  From the park, we'll head out on a counter-clockwise course.  The hills are moderate and traffic remains light throughout the course.

** PLEASE READ **

This ride is intended for those accostomed to longer rides at a pace of at least 15 mph.  If I see you havn't done bike rides of longer distances, I'll contact you to ensure you're comfortable for this ride. If you don't have a road bike (or hydrid with narrow tires), you may want to reconsider this ride. We WILL stop to re-group at key intersections, since some riders may ride off the front over some segments.

The purpose of the ride is to enjoy these great roads and get in a great workout.  It's a popular place to bike and the route is well marked.

After the ride we may head to downtown Cartersville for lunch if there's interest.
