Itinerary:

Don't let the D2 fool you, this is a FAST HIKE - a percursor to the famed Vickery Creek QuickStep v8.6 & challenging v10.4

Join me as we light up the trails with a quick stepping hike that will get that heart rate & step count up right out of the gates...This D2 training hike may seem tame, but I assure you it's not your everyday social hike...it's a workout, and it's just what you'll need to move up the training chain to tapout on the v10.4! I'll take you along what I affectionately dub my "training grounds!" Conditions have been a little sloppy, so be prepared for some loose terrain - trekking poles are always advised.

This is a FAST hike along various trails at Vickery Creek, but since it's the shorter of the three QuickStep formats, we will have regrouping sessions if things break up, but there are no formal stops planned. The average pace will be in the sub 18 minute miles for sure, but don't be surprised to see some 15 minute + miles. If you haven't been on any FAST AOC D2 hikes here's your chance.

Conveniently located in historic Roswell, GA, the historic "Vickery Creek" unit of the Chattahoochee River Nat'l Recreation Area (CRNRA) boasts an amazing variety of shady creekside and ridgetop trails and is one our Club's favorite places for hiking (mine for sure).

Rain or Shine...althought I prefer the latter.
This will be a routine training hike that gets people familiar with my hiking style...as I get familiar with yours...so, don't worry if you cannot make it one of them I'll be posting them pretty much all year!
