:: NOT YOUR TYPICAL WEEKDAY D3, 10k the hard way ::

Join me as we light up the trails with a quick stepping hike that will get that heart rate & step count up right out of the gates...This week day D3 training hike will see some nice elevation, as I take you along what I affectionately dub my "training grounds!" We might hit a coulple of the same paths twice but never in the same direction. Conditions have been a little sloppy, so be prepared for some loose terrain - trekking poles are always advised.

Bring a headlight or something as a light source in case it gets dark while we're out there, better safe than sorry.

Conveniently located in historic Roswell, GA, the historic "Vickery Creek" unit of the Chattahoochee River Nat'l Recreation Area (CRNRA) boasts an amazing variety of shady creekside and ridgetop trails and is one our Club's favorite places for hiking (mine for sure).

This is a FAST  training/fitness hike along various trails at Vickery Creek (in a top secret special direction) and we might be re-grouping at the top of the steepest climb (to be announced before ascending) if needed, but there are no formal stops planned. The average will be in the sub 18 minute miles for sure, but don't be surprised to see some 15 minute + miles. So, if you haven't been on any FAST AOC D3 hikes recently yo're probably not going to like this hike - saying it's fast is an undestatement, we have yet to finish the v5.5 & v6.2 with the original sign ups. If I see you falling back pretty far within the first mile (or two) I may ask you to try again after a few months...Safety first, respect to the others second.

Rain or Shine...althought I prefer the latter.
This will be a routine training hike on alternating Wednesday's and Thursday's (and maybe some Friday's) so don't worry if you cannot make it one of them I'll be posting them pretty much all year!
