FASTER FORMAT - please read all details
First of all, don't let this D2 fool you, this is a FAST AF* TRAINING HIKE/JOG - a percursor to the famed Vickery Creek QuickStep v8.6 & challenging v10.4.

As a D2 hike this may seem tame, but I assure you it is not...it's a fast, hard workout, and it's just what you'll need to move up the training chain to tapout on my v10.4's! I'll take you along what I affectionately dub my "training grounds!" Keep in mind conditions have been a little sloppy, so be prepared for some loose terrain - trekking poles are always advised.

if you're not comfortable with speed walking and running the trails this is not for you. I don't have it listed as a trail run since I will not be running the whole distance, but there is plenty of running and there is speed work for fast hiking!

This is a FAST event along various trails at Vickery Creek, but since it's the shorter of the three QuickStep formats we will not have any formal stops. The pace might be moderate for some, but for most it is flat out running, so plan on a 15 minute mile pace at least.

Rain or Shine...althought I prefer the latter.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

We will meet in the parking lot off of OXBO ROAD (south side, between Atlanta Street and Dobbs)

The address is near :::
145 OXBO ROAD, ROSWELL, GA 30075

Arrive 10-15 minutes early to get head count and intros in. There are no bathrooms at this lot. The GPS link above is pretty accurate too.

Notes:

LEAVE NO TRACE!

* = Anaerobic Fitness (which means short, painful and demanding)

??? curoius about what that pace is like? Here's a gauge:
from the gravel lot (where we park), time yourself on the beginning gravel section to the foot bridge, if it's over 4 minutes...you might want to try some moderate events first.
