Itinerary:

East Palisades is one of the most beautiful and unique of all the CRNRA units.

The Park has several miles of trails that connect to scenic overlooks and a beautiful bamboo forest.

We will hike 6 miles at a moderate pace: going up 4 moderately long challenging hills plus 1 very steep one. We will stop to enjoy the scenery and hydrate.

D3 rating: Elevation gain 1,000 to 1,500 feet, and/or faster pace; generally, 6 to 8 miles.

The hike will start promptly at 8:30 am. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled and for introductions.

If you don't have an NRA car pass, you will need $5 in cash to pay for the parking fee. Do not leave any valuables in your car or trunk since vandalism has been known to happen.

There are no restrooms at this location.

Two dogs are permitted but they must be able to handle steep hills and be on a leash at all times. Please sign your dog up when you RSVP.

We will be meeting at the INDIAN TRAIL parking lot.
