Itinerary:

Panthertown Valley is a great place to spend a weekend wandering around. There are many waterfalls and rocky overlooks. The plan is to walk several miles in from the trailhead and then setup camp. After that we will explore around the valley based on whatever the group wants to do.

You should expect to cover 2-4 miles each day with a pack and then another 4-6 miles with a day pack. The plan is to take it fairly easy on this trip and just enjoying being outside. This probably isn't the trip for you if you don't like to sit around at waterfalls or view points.

It will be cooler this weekend with the night time temperature getting to around freezing. Please make sure that you bring clothing and sleeping gear that is appropriate for fall weather. There will be places to swim if you like the cold water. I don't do fires but understand if the group wants to make a reasonably sized fire. Please no giant bonfires.

Tent  / Tarp / Hammock

Sleeping Bag / Sleeping Pad / Quilt

1 Dinner, 2 Lunches, 1 Breakfast, and Snacks

Clothing appropriate for the weather

1-2 Liters of Water

Way to treat additional water(Pump,chemicals,etc)

Way to safely secure your food(Rope+Bearbag,bear canister, etc)

Head lamp/flashlight
