Wokking on Buford Highway... Again

Back by popular request - let's take another walk along Buford Highway.

BuHi (as it's affectionately called) is a main street, with several miles of it running thru Chamblee, GA. Those miles are known for the ethnicity which brings in Atlantans from the 'burbs to the doors of the venues there for a taste of its diversity.

Lets meet at the Chamblee MARTA Station at the corner of the back parking lot on Peachtree Road and Chamblee Tucker Road.  (Click on the map icon above to get the exact location.) From there, we'll walk towards Chinatown. We'll explore the shopping center for a while before making our way to the main feature - BuHi. We'll go north on BuHi for a few miles, stopping at Asian Square... We'll go as far north as the Doraville Library, where we'll turn around and head back down BuHi from the other side to explore what that side has to offer. The distance that we'll cover will be about 6 - 6.5 miles. The terrain is pavement and relatively flat.

This is not a fitness hike - it'll be a fun hike! We'll stop often for restroom breaks, for snack breaks (so bring your stretchy pants). Our pace will be leisurely, so we'll get to experience all the culture that BuHi has to offer (especially at this time of the year).

Parking and Meeting Spot:

We'll park at the Chamblee MARTA station's back parking lot (accessible from Peachtree Road).  

Alternate Parking:

If, for whatever reason, we can't park at the MARTA Station, there's a Walmart nearby (on Chamblee Tucker) that we can park at instead.
