Itinerary:

Join me as we hit the trails with a hornorary hike in observance of MLK Jr. Day "A Day On, Not a Day Off!" hike that will get that heart rate & step count up right out of the gates...This D4 training hike will see some nice elevation, as I take you along what I affectionately dub my "training grounds!" We hit a coulple of the same paths twice but never in the same direction. Conditions have been a little sloppy (especially on the mini falls trail extension) so be prepared for some loose terrain - trekking poles are always advised. We'll also traverse the infamous new 113 step stair section, and new overlook area for anyone that's new to that stuff.

This is NOT MY TYPICAL FAST hike along various trails at Vickery Creek, but it isn't a sightseeing tour either, it's a workout...just no "recon shuffle" today! Look for averages to be between 18-20minutes per mile - terrain & pace make this not a beginners hike.

Conveniently located in historic Roswell, GA, the historic "Vickery Creek" unit of the Chattahoochee River Nat'l Recreation Area (CRNRA) boasts an amazing variety of shady creekside and ridgetop trails and is one our Club's favorite places for hiking (mine for sure).
