Itinerary:

This is a wide, almost flat gravel trail surrounded by trees with the view of the Chattahoochee River on one side.   There is only one small elevation on the right side of the trail. This hike/walk would be perfect for beginners who can't yet handle speed and elevation and anyone that wants to breathe relaxation, which is so good for the spirit.

We plan to meet in front of the restrooms in the parking lot which is located at the end of Columns Dr. Please plan to be there 10 minutes prior the starting time of 3:30 pm .  That will give us time to introduce ourselves and start on time. Give yourself time to purchase the $5.00 parking pass if you don't have the year long pass.

Dogs are permitted on this hike.  As AOC members we will follow Park Rules, which dictate that all dogs must be kept on leash at all times.  Dogs must be well socialized as there are numerous pets that frequent the trail.

Since there are two parking lots for Cochran Shoals, read the directions carefully so that you come to the right parking lot.  If you can see I285 from the parking lot, you are in the wrong parking lot.
