Itinerary:

OVERVIEW:  Situated on the beautiful Alcovy River and its Cedar Creek tributary, Harbins Park is Gwinnett County's largest park - also one of its newest, opening in 2009.  In its nearly 2000 acres of wooded rolling hills it boasts 17 miles of well engineered single- track trails.  It also offers hiking and horseback trails, a paved Silver- Comet-like trail, restooms, changing rooms, a picnic pavilion and water founain.

EVENT PLAN:  We'll start by 8:15, meeting next to the kiosk next to the restrooms, so please arrive before the start time to be ready in time.  Our pace will be moderate, but our intent is for a minimum of 12 miles, with a potential for 17 miles for those interested.

FOR a TRAIL MAP:  Tral map can be found hereNote that parking lot is at the top center of the map.

WEATHER:  In case of forecast or recent rain, I'll send a cancellation E-mail by 10:00 pm the night before.  You can check Gwinnett trail closures yourself by calling their Trails Hotline at 770- 978-5270, but please still check your E-mail Saturday night.
