Itinerary:

We will start off finding the  GOLD by hiking on the perimeter trails to Bull Sluice Lake. There are some rocky ridge trails that we will go on, so be prepared and make sure you wear good hiking boots. Hiking polls come in handy on the big rock trails.

There are a few steep hills that are in the center of the park, so realize this is not a beginner’s hike.

Definition of a D2 hike:  Gentle to Moderate elevation gain of 400 to 1000 feet, moderate pace with a distance of 4- 6 miles.

Our average moving pace will be 2.5 to 3 mph.

We will stop a few times to hydrate and to enjoy the tranquility of the park.  Hydration is a must!!

The hike will start PROMPTLY  at 9:00 am.  Please arrive a few minutes early to get ready and meet everyone.

There are no restrooms at this location.

If you do not have an annual CRNRA parking pass, you will need to purchase a $5-dollar daily pass at the pay station in the parking lot.

Remove all valuables from your car and trunk since there have been incidents of vandalism in the past.
