Itinerary:

We will meet at The Pigeon Hill parking lot (The water fountain). We head south on Noses Trail - then take a slingshot North to New Salem Church Trail to cross Burnt Hickory Road putting our hike on the East Trail. This will direct us to the Visitors Center for our half way point & our break. The hike will then carry over to the Environmental Trail. We will turn right to the 24 Gun Trail, crossing Old Mountain Road and then to Gilbert Road. From Gilbert we will be off the designated trails, still in the Park boundary, but on to herd paths. This will be hiker, runner, horse, or other animal paths. There will be some short meadow crossings. This is where you will see the seldom west side view of Big Kennesaw! After the magnificent view (going more South) we cross Burnt Hickory Road again. This will take us into the low bottoms of Noses Creek Tributaries where we will do a stream ford .After the ford we intersect with Hardage Mill Trail .Then we go counterclockwise to Dallas Highway and head Northeast on Noses Trail and back to our cars. The Park travel is around 1,500 ft elevation gain. (with very few climbs) We will definitely keep a tight line after the Visitor's Center break. Leave no trace- pack it in - pack it out! Let nature be the sounds . This will be a group hike, no one will be running ahead!!
