Your TL has been to 5 Points but not the Covenant College Trails.  We will likely drop a car or two at the finish depending on registrants.  We'll ride 5 Points, a connector trail and then trails behind Covenant College.

Plan is to ride about 15-18 miles or 2-2.5 hours, something in that range.  We can easily do additional loops at both trails or cut the ride short if need be.  It is essential that you know how to ride mountain bike trails, know simple repairs and realzie this is NOT a trip for beginners.

The event start time is the time we are meeting at the carpool, if you plan to meet us at the event be ready to ride at 1:00 pm. We will start at the Five Points Trailhead off Ascalon Road (see note below).  There is a $5 per car fee to park unless you have a state park pass.

Trail is mostly purpose cut singletrack but has a couple of easier sections that are made up of doubletrack or old reclaimed forest roads that are quickly turning into doubletrack. Easy, intermediate, and advanced sections. Good mix of climbs and descents with plenty of area to keep you busy all day.  See the above links for more info.

After the ride we will head down the mountain to get food and beer at Phantom Horse, a local brewery, for some recharge :)

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $78.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:

Be advised two parking lot locations exist.  We will utilize the larger parking lot on Ascalon Road.  The above GPS coordinates will get you very close to the trail head.  As always, the brown signs for parks will guide you to the parking lot.

TLs will provide more information upon registration.
