Itinerary:

We will be meeting at the Indian Trail entrance NOT Whitewater Creek.  Again, Indian Trail.

Because of a glitch in the registration process, we've run into the problem of having too many members added to the active list above the maximum limit of 20.  Please be aware that we will be moving members above 20 registrants to the waiting list in the order of their registration times.  People will then be added to the active list as we have withdrawals.

East Palisades is the favorite CRNRA unit along the Chattahoochee.    It offers everything from a taste of rugged beauty from high, heavily wooded ridges above the water to sandy, lushly carpeted floodplains lines with ferns and willows.   The trails are varied from flat riverside paths to rugged, rocky sections with challenging ascents.

Beginners warning - - the distance/elevation/pace qualify this hike as a D2, but it's NOT an easy hike, as here are lots of hills.  But we'll take breaks when we reach the tops of the long hills and we'll keep the pace moderate. . .  so give it a try if you have some hiking experience.

Be sure you bring $5 for parking if you don't already have an annual pass.  You pay for parking at the kiosk located at the trailhead.
