Itinerary:

<<< Chimney Tops from Chimney Tops Trail Trailhead >>>

This is one of the most popular hikes in the GSMNP. It’s among the top choices of visitors looking for a wide open panoramic views from the summit. It also leaves plenty of our time for the day to explore anything else in the park.

We will meet and start from the Chimney Tops Trail Trailhead. It is a continuous climbing of 2.25 miles to the top of the summit with one of the best views in the park.

<<< Clingmans Dome >>>

We’ll take a short drive from the Chimney Tops parking lot to the Clingmans Dome parking lot, and then hike to Clingmans Dome. This is the highest point in the GSMNP park and the entire Appalachian Trail.

The event duration does NOT include our travelling/ driving time. Our duration time is an estimate, and we need to have some flexibility.
