Itinerary:

Trena's away, but we'll still play!

Because of a glitch in the registration process, we've run into the problem of having too many members added to the active list above the maximum limit of 20.  Please be aware that we will be moving members above 20 registrants to the waiting list in the order of their registration times.  People will then be added to the active list as we have withdrawals.

Janet G. told me about this trail.  It's always special to learn about new places from members who have knowledge that we trip leaders don't have!  After learning about the trail, I hiked there a couple of times, but it's been several years since I've been there.  Time to revisit it!

The trail is a narrow, secluded bike trail with rolling hills, a few roots and rocks, but nothing dangerous or terribly steep. There are very few riders using the trails during the daytime, so we should have them to ourselves during the hike.

We'll begin the hike at the Pitner Dog Park - - the nicest dog facility I've seen!  There are two large, enclosed areas in which pets are free to romp and play.  Plus, there's a nice little playground for the children to use while their dogs socialize. A bathroom facility and ample paved parking makes this trail-head a perfect place to begin a hike.

Dogs are allowed on this hike, but with reservations. Please consider that the trails are very narrow!  We'll be walking mostly single-file on the trails, and if a biker comes, we'll have to step off the trail to allow him/her to pass.  Dogs could be a risk to both our participants and to the bikers.  If you have any doubts about your dog's behavior, please leave him at home.  LIMIT of 3 DOGS!!  If you see three already listed, you may not add a fourth.
