Itinerary:

The hike is comprised of three trails (1) Tennessee Rock Trail 2.2 miles,  (2) James E Edmond Backcountry Trail 7.2 miles, (3) Black Rock Lake Trail .8 miles. 

Elevation gain:  approximately 2700 feet  

Distance: 10 miles

Pace is half fast - rather moderate.  Slow on the uphill and faster going down.  The hike will maintain a lead and a sweep.

We will leave Mansell and Ride at 8:00 am.  We will stop at Ingles for a bio break before the hike.  Hike will begin close to 10AM.  Also, we will have dinner in Clayton before heading back.  If you don't want to have dinner, no worries, but let's make sure before we get into carpools.

Required Items to Bring:

water, 2-3 liters

hiking boots

lunch

plastic bag for your dirty boots, if you are riding in a car other than your own.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $80.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
