Itinerary:

It has been a while since I did the full tour of Kennesaw Mountain... join me on this fast paced, single mountain pass, journey through the park.

We will begin our adventure at the visitor center, but don't expect to park there, assume you will be parking at the overflow lot and walk to the visitor center. After a quick pre-hike bio- break we will head straight up Big Kennesaw, followed by Little Kennesaw and finally Pigeon Hill. It will be a moderate pace from the visitor center to Burnt Hickory Road. With the majority of our climbing done for the day we will hit the afterburners and begin the fast (3.2+ mph) portion of the hike. We will make our way to the Hadage Mill Trail to the Cease Fire Trail, followed by the Kolb Farm Loop. About half way through the loop, we will take the quick exit and head towards Kroger/Subway for a quick lunch. After lunch, full speed ahead to complete the loop and head to the Noses Creek Trail followed by the Brumby Camp Trail and finally to the Visitor Center Cut-off trail to complete our loop.

This is a long, FAST trek, recent D5 experience and a history of fast hiking will be required to join the fun. If you don't meet these requirements you will be moved to the waiting list where only begging and bribery (just kidding about the begging) will get you on the event.

KM now requires a fee for parking.
