Itinerary:

 

We will meet at the Park Office at the bottom of the falls 9:15 for introductions. From here will follow the road to the bottom of the falls and proceed up the falls by the stairs. At the top of the falls we will go to the Amicalola Falls State Park Lodge, take a break and return down the falls by the same route. Once at the bottom of the falls, we will take a break at the Park Office and head up the East Ridge Trail. Once again going to the Amicalola Falls State Park Lodge and taking a break. We will then head back down the East Ridge Trail returning to the Park Office. This is not a beginner hike!

Water, snack and or a lunch, and Good Hiking Shoes

If you have never been to Amicalola Falls before it is over an hour north of Atlanta. For instance, I live in north Marietta. Thus, it is about an 1 hour and 15 minutes for me and I will plan on an hour and a half drive.

 

 

PARKING PASSES:  Each driver is responsible for paying the $5 per vehicle per day self-service State Park parking fee (or displaying instead from your rear-view mirror a valid annual GA-DNR parking pass - available for sale at the park Visitor Center).
