Itinerary: | |||||||
Join us for Pioneer camping (a.k.a. car camping) at Cloudland Canyon. Cloudland is located in the Northwest corner of Georgia. It offers beautiful views and two cascading waterfalls at the bottom of a gorge cut by Sitton Gulch Creek. Plan on enjoying nature, sleeping outdoors, great food and sitting around a fire telling tales and joining in our campfire sing alongs. If you have an instrument feel free to bring it along for open Mic. Saturday, we will have a hearty breakfast and head out on an hike. We will hike the 4.8 mile West Rim Trail with beautiful vistas of the canyon and rugged geology. We will have lunch overlooking the countryside some 2000 feet below. Following the hike, for those interested with energy to spare, we will brave the infamous stairs down into the gorge to view two gorgeous waterfalls cascading into large pools (assuming there has been rain). The remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. Later, we will enjoy our gourmet Steak or Salmon meal hot off the grill, relax around the fire and enjoy fire side comradery and songs. Sunday, we'll enjoy breakfast and pack for home. We will have plenty of evening snacks and desserts to go along with our campfire. It just doesn't get any better! As a bonus join us for laughs around the grill, our cooks are enteratining. Anyone who is brave enough to help around meal time be prepared. *PLEASE NOTE: expect late nights, loud people, four legged companions, and an awesome weekend! | |||||||
