This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

This is actually Station Cove Falls to Tamassee Knob & then Hidden Falls. This is on the low end of a D5 and a good one for those wanting to transition from D4 to D5. Starting at the Station Cove Falls parking lot, a connector trail takes us to the falls, which has  a beautiful 60' cascade. Heading out on the Palmetto trail there's a steady moderate climb to the Tamassee Knob Trail. This trail rolls along some gaps & peaks. At the top of Tamassee Knob you are rewarded with a rock ledge with an expansive view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Returning back to the start of the spur trail we pick up the Foothills trail to the Hidden Falls spur trail.  At the end is the 50' secluded Hidden Falls. After the climb back up from the falls, it's mostly downhill (or flat) back to the cars.

We will stop at the Spotted Pig http://www.yelp.com/biz/the- spotted-pig-fair-play?nb=1 on the way home for dinner. If you do not wish to stop, please make sure you to drive yourself or with someone else returning directly to Atlanta.

You MUST have recent D4 history with AOC to be placed on this event.
