Itinerary:

Wowee... have I got a great REPEAT Saunter lined up for this Saturday and you will want to be a part of this one!

Last Saturday, our group of 4 happy hikers set out on this awesome hike. It was simply amazing and guess what?  A rainy week means a repeat of the event!  We will be taking an incredible trek on 5 miles of the White and Red trails at Sweetwater Creek State Park.  Much of this trail goes alongside the creek and if you have never hiked at Sweetwater after a heavy rain, it really is epicl!  I am giving us 3 hours to cover just 5 miles due to the trail conditions, so there will be time for pictures along the way. We will go off trail a bit when the main path is under water.  Prepare to perhaps get rained on some and/or a bit muddy.  This kind of hiking really is a blast... seriously, just look at the grin on my goofy face and you'll see what I mean!

We plan on starting the hike promptly at 8 AM, so arrive early enough to secure parking.  We'll meet in front of the visitor's center.  During the hike, I plan on keeping the group together and there will be little elevation gain with some stairs.

Note: there is a $5 per vehicle parking fee. No carpool for this event.
