Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

If you like cool and weird geological features, this hike is for you! We will see creeks suddenly flowing out of a cave, a waterfall flowing into a catherdral and immediately dissappearing underground only to reappear .5 mile away flowing from a cave. This is the Walls of Jericho!

We will start at the Tennessee trailhead of the Walls of Jericho trail. After about 1.5 miles we will take a quick right on the Mill Creek Loop trail for a jaunt over to the Mill Creek Blow hole. There is a short scamble here, but we will see Mill Creek shoot out of a cave and immediately flow into a slot canyon. Fun! After we snap a few pictures and tell a few jokes, back to the main trail for about 3.5 miles. We will need to do some light scrambling over and around some boulders to reach the highlight of the trip, the Walls of Jericho. Here we will see a waterfall disappear into the ground and reappear downstream. This will be our lunch spot.  After lunch, we retrace our steps back to our cars to complete our out and back adventure. Through out this hike we will be moving at a brisk pace so we can stop and enjoy the highlights.

This is a solid D4 hike with rough terrain and light scrambling, I reserve the right to move under experienced adventurers to the waiting list.
