Itinerary:

Please join me for a figure eight hike around Sawnee Mountain Preserve along the Ridgeline, Mountainside, and Hilltop Trails. We will also do the Church Trail and Out and Back to the Indian Seats Summit.   We will meet adjacent to the restroom building at the beginning of the Ridgeline trail in the 2505 Bettis-Tribble Gap Road parking lot.  Please note that this is not the parking lot at the Visitors Center or the Indian Seats parking lot.  We will proceed up the Hilltop trail then make a clockwise loop of the Mountainside trail (including Church Trail out and back -1.2 extra miles roundrip) and finish with the Ridgeline Trail.  After that, it is an out and back to the Indian Seats Overlook adding another 1.5 miles roundtrip.   We will average 2.5 mph overall with a moving average pace of 3.0 mph with a few stops for a drink of water along the way.  The trail will vary from gravel path to a well-worn forest path.  Elevation gain for the hike should be approximately 1,600 feet and total mileage 8.7

Parking is free for this facility.
