From the Warwoman Road parking lot we hike up the trail some three miles, viewing two waterfalls on the way-Becky Branch and Martin Creek Falls; and past these on the constant moderate climb to Courthouse Gap; hopefully seeing wildflowers on the way. We’ll come back and see the small waterfall in the Warwoman recreation area, and then return to Clayton for an inexpensive buffet dining experience at the ‘Peking Gourmet’. Hike should be over no later than 3:30-4pm, and back to town by 8pm, with dining. Any needing to return earlier can drive together in carpools determined at the park and ride, before the drive up to Clayton.

Required Items to Bring:
good hiking shoes or boots
1 quart or liter of water minimum

Trail lunch or snacks to be enjoyed at the Martin Creek waterfall and Courthouse Gap.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Rabun County, Georgia near Clayton McDonalds in Clayton, GA at approximately 10:30am. (shortly before or after) From the park and ride we travel about 12 miles to I-985, which bears off from I-85- (two lanes on left) and follow this road which becomes 441/15/23 north of Gainesville, GA--all the way to Clayton, GA. There we will stop briefly to coordinate and meet others, about 15 minutes, before traveling to the trailhead.
