Itinerary:

Tribble Mill was privately held until the late 1990’s when the county purchased the land.  The mill operated from the 1830’s until the 1950’s on a river in the park.  The park has 800 acres and includes Ozora Lake and Chandler Lake. There is a paved loop of around 3 miles that winds around Ozora Lake There are about 12 miles of unpaved trails and our itinerary will include around 3.2 miles of unpaved trails and about 1.2 miles of paved trails. We will walk a little less than half a mile by the shores of Chandler Lake and around 1.5 miles by the shores of Ozora Lake. We will have to cross one small creek, but that can be circumvented if necessary. The trails are wide, well marked, and smooth. The total elevation change is in the order of 300 ft and the slopes are gentle.

Optional: After we return to our cars we can walk on a paved trail to a very scenic spot and return, for an additional 0.9 mile walk. We can also have a picnic lunch either at that spot, or take advantage of the many picnic tables available.
