Itinerary:
We will start from Marta Parking lot towards tiny West Gate entrance, it is about one tenth of mile walk on sidewalk.Once inside, we will cross parking lot besides confederate hall to the base of the approach trail. Our uphill climb will start from that point, we will hike to the top of the mountain without any break (hopefully). At summit we will take our first five minute break and enjoy evening breeze, fresh air and bird eye view of the city. We will descend a northern unmarked trail towards a LEFT TURN @ connector trail (Orange Blaze). Once connector trail hit the service road, we make a LEFT on paved road (that turn into a gravel SERVICE road) towards southers side of the mountain. This time around on our way back we have to make a RIGHT  TURN @ Cherokee Trail South (White Blaze). We will slowly descent to the bottom while enjoying very clear southern view till we see the rail tracks; continue straight on Cherokee trail until turning RIGHT @ connector trail (Orange Blaze). Within two minutes or less we will have to make another RIGHT TURN @ NATURE GARDEN TRAIL (Green Blaze). Nature Garden trail is a loop so it goes straight too, don't go straight. After about half of the mile we will make a RIGHT TURN @ connector trail (Orange Blaze) which will take us back to paved road. Make a RIGHT TURN and walk three minutes to see West Gate at your left and confederate hall parking lot on your right. Exit through the west gate back to Marta Parking lot. We will cover a total distance of 5 miles.
