Itinerary:

Vistas, Waterfalls, creeks and Gorges!

Reschuled for weather!

This should be a classic hike on the Cumberland Trail and the Ritchie Hollows Trail with the vista from Snoopers Rock as our highlight.

We will start our hike in the Prentice Cooper WMA, find our way through a stone door and hike along the iconic Cumberland Trail. After about 3 miles we will enjoy the Tennessee River vista at Snoopers Rock. From here we will hook up with the Ritchie Hollows Trail that will take us past creeks and waterfalls and include a climb down into the gorge. Along the way we should have outstanding winter views of the Tennessee River. Somewhere along the way we will stop for lunch before retracing our steps back to our cars.

We will be moving at about 2.7 MPH and have about 3000 feet of ascent. This is a D5 hike and requires recent D5 experience to join the fun.
