Itinerary:
EASY

Our group will get a specialized tour of Zoo Atlanta, focusing on the social interaction of various wild animals. Visiting key exhibits, our tour guide will describe gorilla behavioral research, Zoo Atlanta’s conservation efforts for drills, matriarchal elephant society, and tigers’ elusive ways. We will also see the famous Giant Pandas and the brand-new kangaroo exhibit. After the tour, I will ask you to fill out an evaluation, but then you are welcome to stay and explore the rest of the zoo on your own. Zoo doors close at 6:30PM.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Atlanta, GA (Intown location) 3:00PM, Meet under trees outside front gate of zoo

Please arrive on time as we need to enter the zoo together into to gain free admission. http://www.zooatlanta.org/site/visitor_info/location_directions.html

Take Exit 59A off Interstate 20. Proceed south on Boulevard about 1/2 mile. Visitors to Zoo Atlanta should park in the Boulevard lots or continue down to Atlanta Avenue and take a right turn and then right again to Cherokee Avenue and enter the Cherokee lots from the south.

An alternative way to get to the zoo is by taking Exit 246 (Fulton Street) off Interstate 75/85 and going east along Fulton Street. Fulton Street becomes Sydney Street and takes you to Cherokee Ave at Grant Park. There is no return access to southbound 75/85 from this exit ramp. You may access I-75/85 Southbound by taking Georgia Avenue past Turner Field to the on-ramp.

Cost Includes:None, because the tour guide is in training and we give practice tours for free (normal tour price is $20/person). You will only be asked to fill out an evaluation on the tour guide.
