Itinerary:

Once again the flow rates are CRAZY so we're GOING WITH THE FLOW tonight. Self-shuttle from Island Ford's Boat Ramp (got the nod from the Ranger that we will be ok if we return for the shuttle car before 8:30pm...should be plenty of time). Paddle down river - avoiding debris fields- down to the Dam at Morgan Falls Park.

We'll be doing a bit of exploring along the way to shake things up a bit so it's 9 solid miles.

Self-Shuttling is enforced so bring a "yak-buddy!" Drop the take out car at Morgan Falls lot in Sandy Springs (the play ground area, next to High Country O'fitters Paddle Shack), load both boats up and head to Island Ford's lot nearest the dirt field that leads to the boat ramp...both locations have LONG distances for carrying a boat, be prepared for that. ...especially at MF's it will be dark and you will be spent! Even though this is a "GWTF" paddle last week the head wind was relentless. We'll also be traveling over the shoals in water that has been moving at 5,000+ cf/s so this isn't a beginners paddle event at all..fast water, cold water, dirty water, dark finishing conditions require a bit of experience, so if you don't have a lot and I have not paddled with you before - expect a call from me before I allow you to come out.
Aiming for a 4:45pm launch time at Island Ford. Last week we had a late-comer that htfu their way down to catch up to us, but I expect you to be on time. :)

USCG approved LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED! Headlamps a plus!
