Itinerary:

EVENT PLAN:  The late morning weather this Tuesday is expected to be great for cycling - in the 70s, with lots of sunshine and no chance of rain.  Especially if you haven't been on your bike in a while, we hope you'll join us for this easy ~2-hour "spring tuneup ride" on the Roswell Riverwalk.  Its scenic boardwalks, bridges and "PATH-style" paved sections extend for about 7 miles along the north bank of the Chattahoochee River.  The Riverwalk overlooks the gorgeous Bull Sluice Lake section of the river alongside Riverside Road, Azalea Drive & Willeo Road - all just a couple of miles south of downtown Roswell, GA.
We'll gather a few minutes before 10:00 AM in the large free parking lot of Riverside Park by its central restroom buildings - see Directions & GPS Info below.  Before beginning the ride we'll take about 10 minutes to introduce everyone, discuss our planned route and review the basics of cycling safety, emergency tire repair, etc.  Our plan is to ride the entire trail in both directions for a total of about 14 miles at a leisurely to moderate paceOur group will pause occasionally along the way to enjoy the gorgeous riverfront scenery, observe birds & wildlife, and perhaps take a few photos - should have no problem being back at the cars by 12:30 PM.

COVID Guidelines:  As on all Atlanta Outdoor Club events during the pandemic we intend to follow CDC guidelines regarding safe social distancing, etc.  Let's each please bring a Mask and plan either to:  A) Keep it handy in case a situation arises that requires us to be closer than ~6 feet from one another or from passing strangers - or: B) Wear it during the entire outing. We encourage any unvaccinated members to get their Covid inoculations as soon as possible, which will enhance everyone's safety and health on future AOC events.
