Itinerary:

Located north of Atlanta in Cumming, Georgia, Sawnee Mountain Preserve provides visitors with 963 acres of scenic passive space, hiking trails and an interactive Visitor Center. Please meet at the Bettis Tribble Gap parking lot.


Visitor Center hours: M-F 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM
Preserve hours: S-S 8:00 AM-Dark

We will meet in the Sawnee Mountain Preserve Bettis Tribble Gap parking lot.   From the playground, we'll start on the Mountainside trail loop counter clockwise starting with the Hilltop Trail.  Then we'll take a direct up to the communication towers and come down the road to continue on the Mountainside trail loop.  We will do the trail down to the church and back.  That'll get your heart pumping.  And we will add the loop for a figure eight.

There are toilets at the Bettis Tribble lot.

Dogs are not allowed at this park. 

COVID:  please carry a mask or face covering to use when you are within 6 feet of other hikers!

Please arrive a few minutes before the start time to check in.  We will begin hiking at 10AM.

1.5 to 2 liters of water or Gatorade
Good hiking shoes  
Snacks (if you can eat and walk fast)
Can do attitude!
