This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

I am obsessed with the Pinhotti Trail.  There, I said it.

Join us as we hike the Pinhotti trail in the Talladega National Forest. The Pinhotti is full of rocky escarpments, vistas, creeks and lakes and this section is no exception. We will start at the High Point trailhead, the northern most Pinhotti trailhead in the Talledaga Forest and make our way to Maxwell Gap. You can expect moderate inclines along the way and a pleasant forest setting. After we reach Maxwell Gap we will turn around and retrace our steps to the cars to complete our adventure. Somewhere along the way we will stop for lunch.

This is a moderate D4, recent D4 experience is required to join the fun.
