Itinerary:

Tuesday is the best day for hiking! Take a day off and join us on this awesome Tuesday trek.

The Joyce Kilmer Wilderness is home to old growth forest and huge views, join us as we explore and enjoy this gem. We will have multiple views as we make our way to "The Hangover", a rock outcropping with magnificent 360 views. We will also be on the lookout for old growth trees as we make our way up.

We will start at Beech Gap on the Strawberry Knob Trail for an initial 2 mile, flat section to begin our journey. The uphill begins when we join the Stratton Bald Alternate Trail. This one mile uphill section will lead us to Bob Strattons Bald, our first overlook and an enourmous bald. After the bald we will head up the Haoe Lead Trail that leads us to "The Hangover". This will be our best view of the day and will be our lunch spot. After lunch we will head to another view point before retracing our steps to our cars.

This is a difficult D5 hike, recent D5 experience is required to join the fun.
