The Rottenwood Creek trail connects the Chattahoochee River trail in West Palisades with the Bob Callan trail and as you may have guessed it follows the Rottenwood Creek which powered the old Akers Mill and provides minor cascades for us to enjoy along the way for much of the hike.
Elevation gain: 299 feet (one hill, Joyce's Hill, with several knobs but just one hill)
The average speed will be up to 3.5 mph with some sections up to 3.9 mph
Here are a few posts on AllTrails:
"A great mix between the urban atlanta area, and the wildlife / Chattahoochee river. Great for walking, hiking, and running as well."
"Gorgeous walk with plenty of scenery, both natural and urban. Great way to spend an afternoon."
|How to Get There:|
