!!PADDLE!!

Join us for a BYOB only (no Appalchain Outfitters Rentals Organized) paddle down the Chestatee River.

This is NOT an Outfitter Paddle It IS A BYOB Paddle. You do have the Option of Securing Your Own Boat thru the Appalachain Outfitters if you choose, but YOU will be responsible for arranging a rental and meeting us on the river at the outfitter put in. We will be putting in at the fruit stand before Applachain Outfiiters - above the outfitter river wise. We will be taking out at the Chestatee River take out used by the Appalachai Outfitters. Therefore we will all meet prior to paddling and arrange a meet up on the water.

We will meet at 10:00 am at the Take Out located on Hwy 60 shortly after you turn left off 400 toward Dahlonega. We will meet as a group, determine who is BYOB and who is renting. The BYOBers will then determine how we can take the fewest vehicles possible to the put in and leave the others at the take out and the renters will proceed to the Outfitters to secure boats. All are asked to meet at the take out first, please do not go to the put in unless you have your own shuttle set up and arrange ahead of time with trip leaaders.

We will have a short shuttle, less than 15 min (about 10 min). If Covid safety is a concern for you, please be sure to either wear a mask and or make shuttle arrangements of your own. Appalchian outfitters offers $10 shuttle rides. http://canoegeorgia.com/    tel:7068647117

All Paddlers Must Have A PFD on their boats - no jacket - no paddle.

Take out (meeting place) - Chestatee River Take Out Hwy 19/60  - At the End of HWY 400 turn left toward Dahlonega, a very short distance on the left you will see signs for the Chestatee Kayak Take Out Park, proceed into park and we will meet here before going to the put in.

Sorry, no inflatable kayaks or SUPs.

This Paddle is All About Being Outdoors, On the Water, Social Distancing the Best Way Possible.                          If You Have Preconceived Notions of What a Paddle Trip Should Look Like...                         Please Leave Your Opinion at Home and Come Out and Enjoy the Day With Other Paddlers.
